Psychotherapy for Individuals & Couples

If you are experiencing difficulty creating an intimate and meaningful relationship with another, it may be that that there are unresolved issues and beliefs from early on in your life that are getting in the way of connection.

It may also be that you are experiencing difference and conflict in your existing relationship and though you wish to go deeper together, lack the skills to do so.

Having a child can also put an enormous strain on a relationship and couples can benefit from professional support to improve communication and bonding as a family.

It may be that you wish to receive support to come to terms with the ending of your relationship with another.

Whether you are an individual or a couple wishing to explore challenging issues and patterns in relationship, seeking out therapeutic support can create the space for developing clarity, compassion & the healing of past experiences. We are then able to relate more harmoniously with self, other & the world.

It can be useful to trace our issues back to our earliest experiences with parents or caregivers. Infants and children make meaning out of early experiences and may come to the conclusion that emotional openness is not safe. It can thus be difficult to own & express one’s deepest needs and vulnerable feelings, limiting or preventing connection with self and other.

“Self-acceptance is a kind of courage – a quiet courage. It means meeting life with who we are completely, being open to how we’re shaped in the same way the shore is shaped by the surf.”

Mark Nepo

I offer support either face to face or by phone/Skype to help you as an individual or a couple to deepen into authentic & heartful relationship with self, other and the world.

We can decide how long to work together, but I ask for an initial commitment to 6 sessions on a weekly basis.
